#80 October-December 2018 Mail Art

Participating in mail art activities continues to excite my creative spirit. After a long hiatus I've re-started creating mail art.  The series, The Philosophy of Tea, combines recycled tea bags, papers painted with tea, tea tags, and other ephemera. Each 'page' of the collage lifts up to reveal additional elements. Each one in the series is unique.

I've also started answering Calls for Entries. See my drawing for Redwork Post here  https://redworkpost.tumblr.com --scroll down to November 14, 2018 entries. The drawing celebrates my husbands delicious home-grown tomatoes.  Diana Hale converts the drawings into redwork embroidery. The squares will be used to create a 'mail art' quilt.

A call, Landscape 2019, popped up on IUOMA recently and I could not resist. This postcard, Dreaming the Land, has been waiting a long time for the right venue.
